New Patients

Are you looking for a new Dentist?

We are taking on new patients at Airdrie Dental Care and welcome patients of all ages from all locations to register with one of our talented friendly Dentists who will be able to offer a range of treatments both on the NHS or privately depending on what suits your needs. We also encourage full family registrations so your little ones have access to the highest standard of care and advice from an early age.

What is involved in my first appointment?

Ahead of your first appointment with us we can save you some time by sending you some forms to complete electronically which include your:

• Contact details
• Medical history
• Smile questionnaire

Don’t worry if you would prefer to fill these out in person at the practice – our friendly team will be delighted to assist you with this!

At your appointment you will be greeted by our friendly reception team who will let your Dentist know you have arrived and escort you to our comfortable waiting area until your Dentist and Dental nurse are ready to see you in the treatment room.

You will then be met in the waiting room by your Dental nurse who will take you in to the treatment room to meet your Dentist.

Your appointment will begin with a conversation between you and your Dentist about your teeth and mouth.

This will then be followed by a dental charting which is where the dentist takes a nice thorough look at your teeth and mouth and calls out some dental words to the Dental nurse to enable them to record details of your teeth on your computerised dental record.

Your appointment may also involve dental x-rays where justified and will the lead on to a discussion about any aspects of your teeth and mouth that need treated including all available options, what they involve so you can make an informed decision about how you wish to proceed.
