Facial Dermal Fillers
Facial fillers, also known as dermal fillers, are safe injectable gels which restore or add volume to the face. They are most commonly used to smooth wrinkles, plump targeted areas such as the cheeks, lips, or chin and restores volume loss from aging. This can enhance facial harmony and create a more balanced, youthful appearance.
Most dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found in the skin. Hyaluronic acid binds with water to increase soft tissue volume and hydration, helping to restore a healthy, youthful appearance and glow. Fillers can also be used to define and enhance facial features areas, such as cheeks and lips, for gentle contouring.
Dermal fillers can be used on a number of areas of the face. These commonly include, but are not limited to:
- Lips
- Nasio labial (nose to mouth) lines
- Marionette (mouth to chin) lines
- Cheeks, for volume and contour
- Chin, for facial framing and structure
The type and amount of filler injected and the areas to inject depend on your unique facial structure and appearance goals. At Airdrie Dental Care, we use a tailored approach that carefully accesses your features and desired results. We’ll work closely with you to develop a treatment plan that enhances your natural features and leaves you happy with the results.
We are proud to offer leading, clinically approved brands in the dermal filler industry, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care, safety, and results from their treatment.
The length of time dermal fillers lasts, depends on several factors such as the area treated, the amount and density of the filler used, and individual factors such as your body’s metabolism.
Our highly trained team will be able to guide you through what to expect from your results and arrange any follow-up appointments you may desire to maintain your desired appearance.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with our anti-wrinkle skincare treatment.
These work by causing the muscles to relax and prevent them from contracting, resulting in the softening of facial lines and wrinkles.
The three main areas for anti-wrinkle treatment in the upper face include:
- Forehead lines
- Glabellar line, also known as “frown lines”
- Crow’s feet
The treatment can also be used for other aesthetic purposes such as:
- Gummy Smile
- Jaw Line Reduction
- Jaw clenching/grinding treatment
- Wrinkles of the bridge of the nose, known as ‘bunny lines’
- Dimpling of the chin
- Neck folding lines
- Excessive sweating known as hyperhidrosis
The results from our anti-wrinkle treatment will be noticeable within a day or two, fully active within 4 weeks, and will last on average around three to four months. Our facial aesthetics practitioner will ensure you know what to expect from the treatment and arrange any follow-up appointments.
