What Do You Receive as a Registered NHS Patient
At Airdrie Dental Care, we offer an extensive range of treatments available to protect your teeth and gums from damage and decay. Our treatment includes (and is not limited to):
Regular Check-up Appointments
Regular dental check-ups are recommended every year to help identify any issues in or around your mouth that could affect your oral health and may require treatment.
During these check-ups, our dentists will assess the quality of your teeth and advise you on great practices for caring for them.
In Scotland, these routine check-ups are free for everyone, meaning you can get the reassurance you need at no extra cost.
If our dentists identify any issues during your check-up, treatment will be subsidised by the NHS, and you’ll pay 80% of the cost (unless you qualify for free treatment).
Tooth Fillings
Under our NHS dental treatment plans, we provide composite fillings for front teeth and amalgam fillings for back teeth, ensuring both function and aesthetics are maintained.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or a child, our team will guide you through your options for composite fillings, as amalgam fillings are not recommended in these cases. We’ll make sure your treatment is safe, comfortable, and tailored to your needs.
Tooth Extractions
When a tooth is too badly damaged, sometimes the best option may be to remove it.
Our experienced dentists carry out extractions with care and comfort, ensuring you fully understand why the procedure is necessary and what to expect throughout the process.
Dentures
Dentures are a false set of teeth that replace your missing teeth. This ensures your mouth has complete function, whilst restoring confidence in your smile.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are caps that are placed on top of damaged or weakened tooth to restore functionality. They are shaped like teeth to seamlessly blend into your smile.
Root Canal Treatment
Chances are that if you need a root canal, you may be experiencing an intense toothache.
Our qualified dentists can quickly get your pain under control with our root canal treatments, helping instantly improve your quality of life.
Scaling and Polishing
To keep your teeth and gums healthy, our expert scaling and polishing helps prevent the build-up of plaque and tartar. This reduces the risk of gum disease and tooth decay, maintaining your overall oral health.
Emergency Dental Treatments
At Airdrie Dental Care, we understand that sometimes emergencies happen with teeth.
Our NHS dental care service ensures you get the help you need, when you need it. We will take prompt action to restore your comfort as quickly as possible.
Children and Family Dental Treatments
All children are entitled to free dental care and treatments.
At our practice, we focus on education, prevention, and positive habits to help your child build confidence in caring for their teeth.
Set your child up for a life of great oral hygiene with Airdrie Dental Care.
Patients Entitled to Free Dentist Treatments
In Scotland, it is important to know that certain individuals are entitled to free NHS dental treatments.
